Micropigmentation is based on the implantation of pigments at the epidermal level through small punctures. It is performed with local cream anesthesia, so it is not very bothersome. For a technique, 3 steps are required:

  • Initial assessment and clinical history. Allergy test and design or visagism test.
  • Micropigmentation session.
  • Touch-up session.

It is mainly performed in the area of ​​the eyebrows, lips and eye line. It is very useful in those forms of alopecia that cause loss or thinning of eyebrow hair, such as frontal fibrosing alopecia or alopecia areata. For the eyebrow, the most modern technique is microblading, which consists of performing micropigmentation “hair by hair” imitating the natural eyebrow. This offers an excellent result. In addition, there is what is known as dermopigmentation, which consists of applying this technique to cover scars, spots and to reconstruct the appearance of the breast areola after surgery.

New is hair micropigmentation or trichopigmentation, useful for simulating the existence of hair, achieving the appearance of a shaved scalp and optical hair repopulation. It can be planted in a specific area, such as the crown of the head, or for a large area.
